My Philosophy I believe that nurturing and fostering the already instinctive abilities of the family empowers them for life. I do not believe that birth is an illness.

| Training, Education & Experience I began supporting families in 2002 completing training & certification requirements to become a Certified Doula (CD) through DONA. I have also completed training and am working toward certification as a childbirth educator through the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA). In 2004 I took on the new role as president-elect of our regional doula organization, the Doula Association of the Mountain Area (DAMA). The mother of 3 young children, my personal experiences add to my ability to relate to new mothers. I have experience working with families in area hospitals and at home. I work closely with a local midwife at area homebirths expanding on my techniques and knowledge. |
